About Cedar Crate Farm
Cedar Crate Farm is a direct to consumer market and CSA share farm that grows produce using sustainable & organic practices. Our produce is marketed directly to our community through the Mankato Farmers’ Market and through our ~100 member CSA Share program. We also have several wholesale accounts including River Rock Coffee, The Saint Peter Food Co-op, and The Wooden Spoon. Our mission is to provide delicious, fresh produce for our community using sustainable growing practices. We’re passionate about the environment, sustainability, our local economy and businesses. We are committed to establishing a strong community around fresh, seasonal food.

Internship Opportunities
Looking to fulfill an internship requirement? We also offer paid internship opportunities on our farm where we will work with you and your instructor/professor to meet your needs. We’ve worked with students from both MSU and South Central College who were pursuing various degrees. Because farming is a discipline of many hats we can fulfill requirements from everything to agriculture, soil science, health & dietetics, environmental sciences, business management, marketing & more. Farm Manager 2026 Season
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: 30-40hrs/week seasonal (April - November) with potential to stay for winter season.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to join our team. What You’ll Do
As Farm Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of Cedar Crate Farm. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing our farm hand crew to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Participating in all aspects of farm work, including:
Harvesting: Oversee and assist with the harvest to maintain quality standards.
Produce Wash/Pack: Help with washing and packing produce for delivery.
Sales: Interact with our customers & community at CSA drop sites, Farmers Market Stand & Farm Stand.
Crop Care: Monitor and maintain crop health through planting, weeding, irrigation, and pest management.
Scheduling tasks and workflows for the crew to ensure smooth operations.
Maintaining farm work spaces so they are safe, orderly and efficient.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with:
Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and motivating a team.
Farm Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a farming or managing environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Passion for Farming: Commitment to sustainable agriculture and a love for working with the land.
What We Offer

Employment Type: Seasonal, Part-Time (16-24hrs per week) OR Seasonal, Full Time (32-40hrs per week).
Cedar Crate Farm is seeking enthusiastic Farm Hands to join our crew. Whether you're experienced or new to farming, this is your chance to work outdoors, contribute to your local food system, and learn about sustainable agriculture.
What You’ll Do
Assisting with the harvest, washing and packing of fresh produce.
Crop care including planting, weeding, and irrigation.
Helping maintain the farm’s cleanliness and organization.
Farmers market setup, take down & sales.

Entry Level Farm Crew Member
This role is designed primarily with high school aged students in mind but could also be a good fit for someone looking for part time, repetitive work in an outdoor setting.
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: Seasonal part-time June - September; 12-20 hours per week.
Do you love working outdoors and enjoy fresh air? Cedar Crate Farm is hiring Entry-Level Farm Crew Members to help us harvest and hand weed crops. You’ll be able to harvest crops like peas, green beans, strawberries & cherry tomatoes. No experience is required—just a good attitude and a willingness to learn!
What You’ll Do
Hand-pick peas, green beans, and strawberries with care to ensure quality.
Hand weed crops as directed.
Work as part of a friendly and efficient harvest team.
Skills and Requirements
Reliability: Show up on time and ready to work.
Attention to Detail: Pick and handle produce carefully.
Physical Stamina: Ability to bend, kneel, squat and work in various weather conditions.

Delivery Driver
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: Seasonal part-time (May-December).
Cedar Crate Farm is hiring a Delivery Driver to help us get our produce into our customers hands. You’ll run our weekly delivery route with our trusty delivery van on Friday mornings/early afternoon (roughly 8am-1pm).
What You’ll Do
Load orders for home delivery.
Deliver produce boxes and wholesale orders to customers.
Respect all traffic laws.
Skills and Requirements
Reliability: Show up on time and ready to work.
Attention to Detail: Make sure each order arrives at the correct address.
Physical Stamina: Ability to bend, kneel, squat and work in various weather conditions.
Clean Driving Record: No pattern of speeding, DWI/DUI offenses, etc
