About Cedar Crate Farm
Cedar Crate Farm is a direct to consumer market and CSA share farm that grows produce using sustainable & organic practices. Our produce is marketed directly to our community through the Mankato Farmers’ Market and through our ~100 member CSA Share program. We also have several wholesale accounts including River Rock Coffee, The Saint Peter Food Co-op, and The Wooden Spoon. Our mission is to provide delicious, fresh produce for our community using sustainable growing practices. We’re passionate about the environment, sustainability, our local economy and businesses. We are committed to establishing a strong community around fresh, seasonal food.
We are hiring for multiple positions at varying skill levels for the 2026 season. Please read the job posting information below for information on the job openings we have. Internship Opportunities
Looking to fulfill an internship requirement? We also offer paid internship opportunities on our farm where we will work with you and your instructor/professor to meet your needs. We’ve worked with students from both MSU and South Central College who were pursuing various degrees. Year-Round Farm Hand & Crew Supervisor
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: 30-40hrs/week

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Year-Round Farm Hand & Crew Supervisor to join our team. If you thrive working with your hands in a collaborative environment and are ready to work with a hardworking crew and independently, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
As Year-Round Farm Hand & Crew Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of Cedar Crate Farm. Your responsibilities will include:
Working with seasonal staff to maintain productivity and efficiency.
Participating in all aspects of farm work, including:
Harvesting: Oversee and assist with the harvest to maintain quality standards.
Produce Wash/Pack: Help with washing and packing produce for delivery.
Sales: Interact with our customers & community at CSA dropsites, delivery route & farmers market stand.
Crop Care: Monitor and maintain crop health through planting, weeding, irrigation, and pest management.
Greenhouse & High Tunnel Management: Manage for temperature & humidity. Make minor repairs. Bed preparation and maintenance.
Scheduling tasks and workflows for the crew to ensure smooth operations.
Maintaining farm work spaces so they are safe, orderly and efficient.
Record keeping so farm output is accurately represented and tasks are completed on time.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with:
Farm Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in farming and/or horticulture.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Passion for Farming: Commitment to sustainable agriculture and a love for working with the land.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and motivating a team.
What We Offer
Competitive pay based on experience: $17-$24/hr with quarterly bonuses.
2 weeks paid vacation plus 3 weeks unpaid vacation. Limited to 8 days off during peak season (June - September).
$200/month wellness stipend. Uses could include anything from health insurance to chiropractic care to massages. Whatever keeps you well!

Seasonal Farm Hand - August - October 2026
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: Seasonal full time (32-40hrs/wk) OR Seasonal part-time (16-32hrs/wk).
Cedar Crate Farm is seeking enthusiastic Farm Hands to join our crew. Whether you're experienced or new to farming, this is your chance to work outdoors, contribute to your local food system, and learn about sustainable agriculture.
What You’ll Do
Assisting with the harvest, washing and packing of fresh produce.
Crop care including planting, weeding, and irrigation.
Helping maintain the farm’s cleanliness and organization.
Farmers market setup, take down & sales.
Work as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Skills and Requirements
Dependability and a strong work ethic.
Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, squatting and lifting.
Ability to repeatedly lift 40lbs.
Flexibility to work in different weather conditions.
Interest in farming, local food or agriculture.

Delivery Driver
Location: Waldorf, MN
Employment Type: Seasonal part-time (May-December).
Cedar Crate Farm is hiring a Delivery Driver to help us get our produce into our customers hands. You’ll run our weekly delivery route with our trusty delivery van on Friday mornings/early afternoon (roughly 8am-1pm).
What You’ll Do
Load orders for home delivery.
Deliver produce boxes and wholesale orders to customers.
Respect all traffic laws.
Skills and Requirements
Reliability: Show up on time and ready to work.
Attention to Detail: Make sure each order arrives at the correct address.
Physical Stamina: Ability to bend, kneel, squat and work in various weather conditions.
Clean Driving Record: No pattern of speeding, DWI/DUI offenses, etc
What We Offer
Hourly Pay: Competitive wages based on experience. $15-$17/hr
